Tencha – Matcha as it should be

Green tea leaves from the Camellia sinensis plant are processed into a powder called matcha. Green tea and matcha are grown in very distinct ways. For three to four weeks prior to harvest, the tea plants used to make matcha are shadegrown. This procedure increases the amount of caffeine and L-theanine that the plants produce, giving matcha its nutrient profile. Since matcha contains the entire tea leaf, it is usually stronger than conventional green tea. Matcha can be used in teas, lattes, smoothies, and even baked products. An excellent social media message, a caffeinated gem, and a beverage that refreshes the mind. You cannot find a more energizing green beverage than matcha. Founded in December 2020, this passion project came about with the idea of making matcha available to everyone in fun, interesting and newer ways than what you could think of, thanks to the versatility of the Japanese green tea.Tencha gets its name from the leaf that is used to make matcha powder.
