As humans we are automatically geared towards balance; we feel the need to both belong and stand out at the same time. Mumbai-based designer Anisha Shetty’s ethnic-wear and IndoWestern clothes for women are snazzy but not too over the top, and thus classy. Be it lehengas, shararas, anarkalis, kurta sets, dresses, gowns, skirt and tops, or co-ord sets, Anisha has a fabulous sense of colour. Sample these: Ruffled gardenia gown in blush pink, melon orange organza lehenga, salmon pink gota patti lehenga, apricot peach and pineapple yellow and mint lehengas, etc. Her designs speak just the right amount of drama. While the embroidery and embellishments she uses are an ode to tradition, the cuts and silhouettes are contemporary . The label offers both pret (ready to wear) and couture clothing as well as bridal wear. A regular at renowned pageants and fashion shows, the label has been wowing people with its attention to detail and unique designs. E.g. their lehengas with cape, their intricately designed jacket or their sharara set with choker dupattas, or tropical print lehengas with mirror work, etc.
