You can have anything you want in life if you dress for it. —Edith Head
A slow fashion brand based in Bangalore ‘Alankrita’ is the brainchild of Designer Alankrita Pritam. The label works directly with weavers and artisans for designing and procuring fabrics, thus giving back to the community. It is also associated with a fair-trade unit based out of Bangalore for your tailoring needs. The label uses age old traditional techniques such as hand block printing, hand embroidery and hand weaving in its collections.
The label follows the philosophy of ‘Less is more’ and focuses on maintaining a sense of wearability. Alankrita aims to reduce waste by recycling and reusing fabrics. The clothing pieces are easy to wear modern silhouettes tailor-made for today’s women.
Their newest collection features experimentation with style while still being in touch with the basic essence and idea behind it. Inspired by various rich weaves of India, it is made for women who want comfort and style in their clothing. The essence of the collection is minimal silhouette with contemporary cuts.
